(Q) How does RightLine calculate "a profit"?

(A) A profit is calculated by totaling the percentage gains and losses for all stock positions presented in the RightLine Special Report during a calendar year. A profit results when the sum is a positive number.

Example: Let's say 12 stocks are covered in a year. Eight of them are winners, and 4 are losers. We take the gains – expressed as percentages - for each winner and add them together. We then take the losses – also expressed as percentages - and add them together. Then we subtract the loss total from the win total. If the resulting sum is a positive number, we have a profit.

(Q) Are open stock positions included in the profit calculation?

(A) Yes, they are.

(Q) Your profit calculation is for a calendar year - Jan 1st through December 31st. What if my subscription doesn't end on December 31st?

(A) Most subscriptions don't end on the last day of the calendar year. If yours doesn't, you have two options; You can either wait until the end of the current calendar year for the profit to be calculated, or you can choose to use the previous calendar year calculation.
