Submit your comments. Click Here Dear Rightline, Thanks for the email. I had visited the sight and downloaded the report. I am a new subscriber (since July this year) and basically "live" for the next report to arrive in my inbox. It was noticeably absent when I awoke this morning (I currently live and work overseas in Kazakhstan - 11 hours ahead of New York).
Allen - Chestermere, Canada Dear Rightline Staff.... As Tom mentioned in the latest "sheet" it never gets old for kudos... I could never thank The Rightline Report staff enough for their effort in the continued quality and the detailed content of your reports... It's much appreciated and the "Report" is certainly a cornerstone of my research and daily trading... ...brieflyIn 1999 I lost my job due to downsizing and between resume tweaking and wallowing in debt, I found Rightline... At that time, I was floundering in the market trying to pay bills and made (and lost) a few bucks using your information, but I never really had a grasp of why.. Your comments of "Knowledge is power" made a lot of sense.. I took your suggestions to get an education and read everything I could find on trading and the markets.. In addition, I attended seminars and classes offered for the "semi-pro" trader, and the pieces finally began to come together.. Fast forward to today... Trading is my passion... I wouldn't consider sending out another resume as I could never come close to my current income level from trading full time... Yes... It's been difficult.. Yes.. The education is a journey and not a destination.. It must continue... Yes... It's expensive to get that education.. Not only the seminar fees paid, but the "trading tuition" that beats up your account before one learns discipline and the value of stops... But it was The Rightline Report that gave me the initial motivation to take the first step.... My thanks not only comes from me but from my family.... I not only have been able to upgrade my career but I've been able to upgrade my lifestyle... Reed - Youngstown, NY
I have been an on and off subscriber to the rightline for years. It has been the single best tool I have ever used for trading. It's not the stock picks, but it is the education that I received. I have learned most importantly that it's not the stocks and it's not the market, but it is your plan, your mind, and your discipline that determine your success. Tony - Bloomfield Hills, Michigan
How do you do it? I am very satisfied with the stock selections that come out in your newsletter in every issue...My hat is off to you .....A great business service for short term investors.......Thanks Edward - Trumbull, CT
This is a note of thanks for allowing me to view your TA and using your service. As you know , this market has been ruthless for anyone trying to trade it, rest assure when the time comes and I can spend the funds I will be signing up .Furthermore, don't think for one moment your free offers and consideration goes without notice, many times in my converstation with people on line and off , the name RLSR comes up as being one of the better sources to go to for somekind of forward guidance to a particularly difficult market. Carol - Burnaby, British Columbia
Just a few of the many comments from our November 2002 reader survey:
Hi, Gang! I've been a rightline subscriber for 3 years now. Did well at first but got caught napping on my stops and lost along with many during the market collapse. I finally saw the light in 2002, followed a careful plan setting stops on each buy and trailing them up. I got stopped out on a few with minimal loss but my winners have rewarded me very well, concentrating mostly in sectors..housing, restaurants, energy, etc. Thanks for some great picks in these choppy times and keep driving the "discipline" message home! Tom - Neenah, WI
Hi, I just downloaded the 2% riskmgr from my renewal confirmation. It is fabulous, saves time!!!!Thank you to the developer. Margret - Englewood Cliffs, NJ
Dear Money Makers, I just wanted to take a minute after closing my first trade as a brand new trader to thank you for your excellent publication! My wife and I chose a company that looked good from the very first issue of the Rightline Report that we received. Although we are starting out very slowly, within two days of buying the position at the pivot point you recommended we closed it out today and found that we had made more than enough profit to pay for a yearly subscription of your Report!! Again, this was our first trade from our first issue of the Rightline Report!! Looks like you have one more happy and excited customer for years to come. Again, thank you for your excellent, well written and easy to understand Report. Sincerely, David - Bensenville, IL
I can easily and honestly say, I need my RightLine reports more than I need my daily infusion of coffee!!! As a Financial Panning Professional I clearly understand the term discipline as it applies to managing money...whether it's managing your own money or someone else's. Your timely reports help me sort through the mounds of research and financial news daily without wasting valuable time and potentially missing important data. Specifically, the "Sleepers" have become a core part of my investment arsenal. Having subscribed to many newsletters over the years, I can easily say the RightLine publication is the best of the best!! Steven - St. Michaels, MD
Dear Rightline, I agonizingly sold my QCOM before earnings release. Thank you for paying for my subscription with this single decision. Irvin - Edmonton, OK
I could use many well-chosen words to describe the sense of gratitude I feel towards all of the team at RLSR, currently known as The RightLine Report. However, suffice it to say that one year ago our mutual funds, that put my wife through seven years of higher education and a medical doctoral degree, and me through a graduate program and many sleepless nights, had run almost completely down in value. My back was against a wall, yet somehow I grasoed a little of what was happening in the stock market through some casual reading, and then discovered your publication. I undertook the free trial period and began reading, and reading, and reading...and then listening. What began as $10,000, with magin leverage buying power of $20,000.00 total has now become $427,000.00 + or -, with a margin balance of only $38,000.00. I am humbled by the spectre of this good fortune. Though if I were to remove any self-congratulatory egocentrism from the truer picture of how this became possible, then I would have to say that I owe most of it to information that came directly from, (and sometimes a little indirectly), the RightLine Report. In short, your team has had the right stuff...true wit, panache, an uncanny ability to self-efface, passionate involvement in the market economy and human affairs, and the kind of essential detachment that wears on its face a smile, maybe like the smile of Voltaire, the smile of reason...but does not show its teeth...Thank you all so very much... Phil - Lafayette , CA
Your entry points are Superb!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .. it goes on and on, can't buy blind but when my alerts go off, the buy screen is loaded and ready to rock!!!!!!! Keep up the great work. Thanks again. Russell - Oxford , MA
I want to express my thanks to Rightline for almost three years of learning what really goes on in the Market. Lessons on charting, dealing with emotions, risk and so much more. Your weekly letters are entertaining to read and to the point, when it comes to the Market. I've never felt this good in a Bear Market and thought you just had to wait it out. Thanks to all! Rich - Sheboygan Falls, WI
Thanks for your advice in the most recent issue. Knowing when not to trade is just as important as knowing when to take disciplined action. David - Metuchen, NJ
I had been a broker for 25 years, you make my morning call far more pleasant than Acumpora ever did, your lay out is fantastic, keep it coming. Russ - Oxford, MA
Hey Guys, Keep up the good work.. In trying times like this, my subscription seems even more valuable, if that's possible. Eliot - Georgetown, TX
Merry Christmas and thank you for a wonderful past year as a first time subscriber. I am really enjoying your "sleeper stocks" as a busy day to day physician. John - Mt.Laurel, NJ
Thanks for the tip on cien guys -- it just paid foe x-mas. I shorted at 79 3/4 & went long at 71 & covered at 74 5/ 16. Thanks. Joe - Dublin, NC
Thank you so much for the "sleeper plays". With a busy practice as a physician and not having the time to closely watch plays in the market, I have been quite profitable on your sleeper plays these past 2 weeks without having to watch the market as intensely as full time traders. Please continue to keep sleepers as a part of your service to subscribers. Respectfully, John - Mt. Laurel, NJ
I love your newsletter...love Alex Elder and love being in cash! Without your newsletter, I would still be a struggling single mother with no retirement. I have a 500% return in the last three years. My first priority has been protecting my profits. Since I only trade an IRA, I move to cash during choppy times. Jenny - Clyde, NC
You guys are doing a fine job. I look forward to recovering from many downers [& I mean many!!] and with your help, enjoy and be successful in this all American occupation. Lawrence - Bucklands Beach, New Zealand
To All The Rightline Staff, When i received an e-mail offering a free trial i thought "ok here's another make me rich trader that has no idea what is going on". WRONG. I did the freebie & signed up. Smartest decision i made since I started tradeing. My hat off to you Mr. Perry and all your staff. Your exactly right when you say it's like haveing a tradeing coach by your side. I looked and on the last 52 Recommended stocks you listed in the right line reports i beleive you are batting 1000. Again Thank-You and all your staff. JR - Gravette, AR
Dear Rightline, Your service is stellar. Would you please wait until my other services, such as Omni Trader, Investor's Advantage, Pristine Trading Room, and Option Investor run out. I've just got too much valuable information to digest at this moment. Your publication is very good. Truthfully, I've just not had enough time to stay on top of it as I should. In the future I could possibly subscribe. Sincerely, Joe - West Linn, OR
Dear Rightline, It has now been one year since I quit my $500/week dead end job and became a full time stock trader. At the time I had 80 thousand in debt from a failed business venture. Well desperate times call for desperate measures. I started with a rather extreme measure by taking early withdrawl of my IRA savings for trading capital. So I began with 73 thousand dollars to trade with. In this past year I have netted over 1 million dollars and now I am totally debt free and enjoy huge cash flow. The freedom and independence I now enjoy is truly a blessing and I owe you a great deal of thanks. It hasn't always been easy, but you folks have certainly made it easier. In the middle of market hysteria at one end of the spectrum or the other you have always provided a voice of reason that I found to be both encouraging and rare. To avoid "paralysis of analysis" I use only 4 resources to make my investment decisions. Rightline is always the first resource I look to, and plays a key element in all my trading decisions. Thanks to all of you for doing what you do so well. Reid - Tallahassee, FL
You have written some great educational pieces since I began subscribing but your two most recent: (1) Planning A Trade and (2) Support And Resistance, were the best yet! Many thanks and keep up the good work. Gordon - Manzanita, OR
Many thanks for your splendid report. I am not a trader but what you might call a long term investor. I feel that your report is also valuable for people with my investing mentality as well as for the traders. Keep the info coming! Kind regards. Robert - London, UK
Terrific!! I've really never taken the time to thank you for your 'RightLine RightOn" advice. Qcom alone would have been enough. But no! You guys keep pumping them out. Can't tell you how much you've taught me about trading, timing and money management. Thanks over and over again! Scott - New York, NY
Great work. I am learning
how to use stops effectively, thanks to your report. Like you said,
it is much an art as a science, but it can protect my investments
while I am away, working. The concept of following the stock up
with stops is great and has allowed my to realize further gains
on stocks I would otherwise have sold and has protected me on drops
while I was working (ie 3Com, yesterday). A couple of times I was
stopped out of stocks before good gains, but I have also been burned
worse by not placing the stops that you always recommend. The concept
of buying a stock on the upside is still a little foreign for me
but I am definately reading every word of your reports. Fred - Austin, TX
I will not renew my subscription at this time but expect to renew it in about 8 months. We are selling our home, moving to a condominium townhouse and doing some traveling. I am a 78 year old retired man with a very poor investment history until I started my RightLine subscription. I started with an account of $42,000.00 on Jan. 1, 1999. During the year I found it necessary to withdraw $25,000.00 for living expenses. Even so, I ended the year with an account balance of $88,000.00. Five weeks into the new year my account is at $120,000.00 on paper. I learned to trade on the internet and thank you for the excellent instruction as well as the advice I have received. I am not a day trader, but find your publication great for my style, which is to get rid of stocks that don't move. I'm rather impatient at my age and can't set long term goals. Sherman - Menomie, WI
I have cancelled my subscription to every stock commentary service I have, with the exception of yours. I look forward to your reports with great anticipation. Just about two months ago I devoted a small chunk of my accounts in the amount of $8,000 just two months ago for aggressive option trades. I know how you feel about options in general and respect your opinion, but I trade options almost exclusively and my $8,000 today is up to almost $50,000. A great deal of that is thanks to QCOM, which I probably wouldn't be trading without your commentaries on it. The rest of my funds are also way, way up, several hundred percent, and it is thanks to you. Keep 'em coming! Happy Holidays from a very, very Happy Subscriber. Meryl - Denver, CO
I really felt the need to express my thanks for your research, suggestions, insight and much much more. I have been a subscriber for two years. I first subscribed to your service after returning from a four year stint of living abroad. I had been out of the job market during that time and didn't really want to re-enter the "corporate world". I started trading with nothing more than my computer, a network connection, your report and an optimisstic attitude. I have profitted to the tune of over $300,000 in two years and it just keeps getting better. That's been music to my ears! Thanks to the entire staff...you are really appreciated. Lind - Lawndale, CA
My list of stocks that I have set up today to calculate the % gain due to your service is certainly incomplete and just has my current investments, some of which are brand new (less than a week old--like QCOM). In any case I am up 74+% in substantially less than a year on a relatively small part of my portfolio. The amount I place using your service as a guide line will grow a great deal in the coming months. This is a gain of nearly $60,000 in the time frame on the small portfolio. needless to say, I am a believer! Ben - Houston, TX
Happy Holidays, I wanted to drop you short note and thank you for my year round Christmas gift. This last March I signed up for the split report, got a internet trading account and talked my girlfriend into allowing me to move 22,000 from our savings into this account. A lot of big changes and some risk. But as of today I have made 16,000 and am sitting on another 4000 until after the first of the year. That's a gain of 91% against my original investment. Needless to say both my girlfriend and I are very pleased with the results. Most of these gains are the result of suggestions and comments gleaned from the RightLine split report. I have to admit that this is one of the best investments I have ever made (20000/479=4175%, gain vs. cost). Keep up the good work. Steve - Bothell, WA
Thanks you to all you excellent staffers. Actually I am not a day trader -- I am an "older" woman within months of retirement. I am new to the market within the last two years and your reports, although not used by me in the manner you intend, have been a fountain of information and training to me. You are heads above any of the other market sites, such as the Street.com, etc.! I will feel lost without you, when that day comes, but retirement will severly limit my expenditures, although my investments are 300 % improved within the time I have been receiving your reports. THANKS TO YOU ALL Lois - Ledgewood, NJ
Your ever expanding presence. RightLine is featured on the front page of Bottom Line Personal magazine in their Feb. 1, 2000 issue which I just received. Just like the Energizer Bunny. You just keep growing and growing. Keep up the good work gang. Craig - Milpitas, CA
Subject: From a retired stock broker From someone who was in the business for a long time, traded my own acct. for 25 years, and have read many trading helpers..you have the best..I just wish you would have been around years ago. I especially appreciate your Mykl Parsons...his right on info has made me alot of money in the last few months. I would be willing to pay him a huge fee for his outstanding info..Tell him to keep up the great job. I just wish I would have bought 5000 shares of QCOM instead of the 500..His material is the best..Thanks. Gerson - Phoenix, AZ
Dear Rightline, I wouldn't trade your letter for anything.... the WISEST investment I ever made was in RightLine. Also, I went to Dr. Elders conference... recommended by you... VERY WISE! Thanks for everything... you are helping a lot of people with a well-balanced reporting mechanism. David - Knoxville, TN
Dear Rightline, As a relative new comer to the investing world, I am very grateful to Rightline and, especially Mykl, for helping me to expand my horizons. Mykl's articles are very infomative and he has provided excellent information which has made me money! Isn't that the point? Although I still have a lot to learn, the successes I have achieved because of Mykl's advice and the Rightline report certainly have increased my confidence that I can use the stock market as a vehicle for financial wealth building. Thank you. Susan - Manzanita, OR
I can't not say enough thanks for turning me on to QCOM and JDSU although I'm not really a trader I'm more of a short term investor-I've been accumulating shares of these companies since last spring and WOW!!!!! -I can't thank you enough. David - Atlanta, GA
Hi! Just a quick note to let you know how much I appreciate the improvements to the newsletter! The recap list is very helpful. It would be great to have a section " Still in Play" for stocks not covered in the current issue but still waiting to hit a target price from a previous issue - you could provide the issue date in parenthesis after each listing. Also, I especially find the traders tips useful as illustrated with specific stocks and save them for future reference. Keep up the great work! Amy - Palm Desert, CA
Say, those "Traders Tips" spread out throughout the newsletter tonight are great. It is so helpful to include these quick tips where they represent an example. They are a great way to augment the Traders Tip articles that are frequently included in the weekend edition. Thanks to all who participate in this effort. Alexandra - Portland, OR
I've tried several newsletters and I think yours is the best by far. I've been taking it for about a year and paid for the subscription many times from your recommendations. But of equal or greater importance to me is your teaching trading psychology, money management, the importance of using stops, and all the other great tips. Looking back I think of how lucky I was not to loose all my capital before I found your newsletter. Many thanks to you and your staff. Bob
First, thanks, I started trading as a complete newbie last June. With your help I've come through a big correction etc. and am up over 30% for the half year! (I would have been happy to have broken even in this learning period. I'm amazed at this performance especially since I made a lot of costly mistakes. I'm still learning but the mistakes are not as costly so hopefully I'll do even better at taking what the market offers in the future. Bob - Morgantown, WV
Dear RLSR, It has been great reading your letter for the last 7 months. I have learned a lot about trading stocks from you folks. A good portion of my time is devoted to studying the markets and reading newsletters, the WSJ, Barron's, TSC, NY Times, etc., and to be perfectly honest I think you all are the most talented traders I have encountered so far. Thanks for including all the educational material, as I'm sure most of us find it extremely valuable, and keep up the stellar recommendations . . . Thank you, and, oh yah, please sign me up for another quarter. You may bill my credit card. Terrence
THANK YOU for providing an incredible service to the investment community. As one who is making his living from active trading, I owe a lot to you for sharing your insight. Dennis
Thanks for 6/27/99 Trader Corner. You and your team do a terrific job with RightLine. Been with you since about the time you started and have enjoyed every issue. Still learning and the summary you did putting the whole picture together 6/27/99 was great. Short enough to tack on the bulletin board for a reminder now and then. Mike
To the staff at RightLine, You folks have the best newsletter I have ever read! For the year of 1998 I was up 108.25% thank you so much! The information that you provide is more than I could imagine. I am looking forward to a great 1999. The best thing that you have taught me is to take gains of 3-5% and not be greedy. Thanks Again, Charles - Boston, PA
Dear RightLine, I have been very pleased with your service. Not only do you announce splits, but you give priceless tips. The other day you recommended Exodus. I told my partner that I was going to buy it. He checked it out and told me he didn't think it was a good buy. It went up over 11 points today alone. I'll never listen to him again. Every time I've gone with your recommendations I've made money. It is well worth the subscription fee. Thanks, Jillian
I like immediate gratification as much as the next person, but you guys out did yourselves this time. Read the RightLine report on Sunday, bought MFNX on Monday and zap today it splits and goes up 11 points. Very nice - I guess I paid for my subscription for the year. Thanks again and KEEP IT UP!!
Many thanks for your helpful reports - and tonight, a special thanks for once again providing one of your "Special Updates". I have found that these interim reports provide not only useful information but also give that added support during particularly stressful times when one's morale needs it the most. Both have improved my trading and thus the balance in my trading account and for that I am most grateful. Blessings to you and your crew for a safe and happy 4th of July. And thank you again. Sincerely, Alexandra PS: While I can understand that you have tired of writing about interest rates and the Fed, your play-by-play explanations have brought a clarity to the process, thus removing the element of uncertainty. It's amazing how much better one can trade when one's brain is not paralyzed by fear!
I wait so patiently each Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday to hear from you. When I go online and hear the familiar "You've got Mail"... my heart skips a beat - for I know that you for the next hour (as I inhale my RLSR), I will be in heaven. I steal away to some quite place in the house (with my yellow marker in hand) and read about how I am going to make lots of money in the coming week. I just wanted to thank you for providing such a worthwhile service. I have not only learned a great deal about the market, how to think and react (although I must admit, I don't always follow your advice), but I have made money - a lot of it. So on this 4th of July, I will say THANK YOU and please, keep up the good work!!!! Your devoted follower - Jan
Thank you for your excellent reports . . . they help my investing more than any other source. I very much appreciate your friendly easy-to-understand style. You should do a book. Sincerely, Craig
Thanks for your really terrific thrice-weekly report. I've been a subscriber for a year (was eager to renew last week) and I've found your clear and easy style of communication in market overview, stock particulars and trading philosophy to be perfect. With most of your reports I feel like your comments are aimed directly towards my situation (it's eerie when I start to let emotions control my outlook and you comment to that effect the same day). Let me give you a little background on why I'm so enthusiastic. In 1990 I left a job and took my 401-K with me. I didn't have a clue on where to invest the money, but buying stocks was something I wouldn't even consider; I was warned by friends and family that people only lose money in it. And I didn't trust stockbrokers because they are commission driven (a feeling I still maintain). So I put the monies in some Putnam funds where, in the next 7 years, I doubled my money. Not exactly spectacular. In 1997 I was introduced to an investment manager. He invested only in stocks (and mostly good ones, at that) but didn't believe in stops. After a year with him my money was dead-even (but he still had his fees). In March, 1998, I left the investment manager, sold most of the stocks and put the money back in mutual funds (among the holdings I kept TWX but sold AOL. Bummer for the latter). Over the next few months I watched the performance of the stocks I used to own and started looking over investment magazines and internet sites. Somehow I came across the RightLine Split Report. At the time you recommended AOL, so I bought it. I've been following your advice and suggestions more and more. The results have been staggering to this conservative investor. In the last year my portfolio has increased over 70% in value. Without RLSR I wouldn't have thought of buying NSOL last November (I chickened out after it rose from 60 to 160 then dropped to 135 where I sold; not bad over a 7 week period). Heck, just learning about stops has been a lifesaver. And your comments a couple of weeks ago suggesting then was the time to get back into some stocks was right on target. (Gee, PMCS was also good idea!) The point of all this is that I think you and your team does a terrific job. Keep up the good info and ideas, and don't hesitate to rap my fingers when you think I'm trading from emotion rather than fact. You guys are great. Sincerely, Steve
